LIFE LIST UPDATES
We encourage each and every one of you to do something on the list!
Not long before he passed he had hand written on 3 pages all of the things in life he wanted to do. We call it a Life List – because Brad was so full of life. You can see the humor in so many things on the list. To some, you will not understand some of the comments, but to know Brad well was to laugh and cry as you read the fun, funny, and silly things he wanted to accomplish! No doubt with his discipline he could have made a pretty good dent in that list…
Jim and I hiked Machu Picchu in 2010. Although – not on the list—it is something Brad and I talked about and wanted to do together. You stay in a place called the Sacred Valley for a couple of days before making the hike. You have to acclimate to the altitude over 8 thousand feet…
After over 9 hours and 3500 stone steps – some up to my knee—we made it to the Sun Gate! What a sight and a very surreal experience!
Brad loved adventure—and Jim and I are keeping pace with that memory! We will add Iceland to the hiking adventures this year in August!
Now for news from some of you great friends out there that have vowed to keep the life list going!
**Troy and Savannah have achieved 2 boys and 1 girl!!! Congratulations and we laughed when you said you were doing your part to contribute!!! Much love to you both and family!
**Thanks to John H. and Amanda who went skydiving in May of 2012! Way to go and we had a blast watching the two of you fly off and come back from the abyss of the sky!!!
**Way to go “T” or better known as Michael T. You were a life long friend of Brad’s and he always had a smile on his face when he talked about you! You have a great wife, and adorable son, and you were not only a fellow captain and teammate of Brad’s at SMCHS, but went on to coach with him. Now you are coaching at the high school level and Brad would love it!
** Christian Goodman- another life long friend of Brad’s and you are about to open a Beer Bar! Brad would love that! Maybe not necessarily on the list but something he would have loved to have done himself!
